West Elementary staff will challenge students to become lifelong learners, in a globally competitive environment, by providing each child with an enriching, academic and social experience.

Core Values

We will work together as a team and with other school personnel in all areas. We will accept responsibility for student progress and accountability for student growth.

We will provide an inviting, kind and nurturing learning environment with relevant but rigorous lessons. We will differentiate learning by implementing small group instruction.

We will provide a safe, positive and nurturing classroom and promote diversity in the community and classroom.

Curriculum
We will promote growth in all academic areas with purposeful learning by engaging in experiences that meet all needs.

School History

West End School was built in 1922 where Mrs. Rhyne was the first principal. After the 1970 consolidation and redistricting, Kindergarten classes were added and the school was renamed "West Elementary."
